    The Boston Bruins took down Buffalo on Wednesday night by a 5-1 score. The netminder was able to bounce back in a big way following the tough loss against the Calgary Flames on Sunday.
    Swayman made his best save of the game when he stopped Buffalo's John Hayden on a penalty shot. The 23-year-old flashed his left pad to keep it out of the net. Overall, the goalie made 24 saves in the winning effort.

    The Boston Bruins earned a one-sided win over the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday, but it was a bit overshadowed by the late injury to star defenseman Charlie McAvoy.
    McAvoy left the game in the third period after Buffalo's Zemgus Girgensons was called for a boarding penalty at 13:46. Girgensons was called for a five-minute boarding penalty and 10 minutes for game misconduct.
    McAvoy skated off the ice on his own power, but did exit for the locker room and would not return.

    Jeremy Swayman wasn't having it Wednesday night.
    Halfway through the second period in a game against the Buffalo Sabres, the Boston Bruins goalie came up big to keep the three-goal lead intact. Derek Forbort committed a penalty on Sabres forward John Hayden, giving him a chance at a penalty shot and potentially allowing Buffalo back in the game.
    Swayman was unfazed by the chance as he stuffed the shot attempt by Hayden with his left pad, keeping the one-sided lead for the Black and Gold.

    The Boston Bruins put a first-period beatdown on the Buffalo Sabres with four goals in a five-minute span, but didn't let up in the fight Wednesday night.
    Bruins forward Nick Foligno dropped the mits after being challenged by Buffalo's Colin Miller less than two minutes into the second period. Foligno knocked Miller's helmet off and may have connected on one or two right-handed punches before the two were separated.
    Miller didn't get a clean shot on Foligno as the two wrestled on their feet.

    The Boston Bruins allowed the lowly Sabres to strike first, but bounced back in a noteworthy way during Wednesday's first period in Buffalo.
    Boston's Patrice Bergeron and Charlie Coyle scored the game-tying and go-ahead goals, respectively, before David Pastrnak lit the lamp again and Mike Reilly added a fourth goal to give the visitors a 4-1 lead. All four goals were scored in a matter of 5:31.
